• 1. How can I contribute to my account?

    You can contribute online at any time. Log into your Private College 529 Plan account. Be sure to have your bank account information handy. By law, contributions cannot be made with credit cards.

    If you choose not to contribute online, you can download a form and send a check to the address listed on the form.

  • 2. How do I know how much tuition I own at participating schools?

    When you open an account you will be asked to designate five sample schools. Your account statement will report how much tuition you own at those schools. You may login to your account and update your sample school list and check how much tuition you own at any participating school, any time.

    To update your list of "sample schools":

    1. Register online to create a user ID and password, or log-in to your existing account
    2. Click on "Sample Schools" in the left hand menu.
    3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  • 3. How do I redeem a Tuition Certificate?

    The redemption process is easy.

    1. Download and complete the redemption form, include the name of the participating school and the amount of tuition and mandatory fees to be paid. Mail or fax your completed Tuition Certificate Redemption Request Form to the address or fax number printed on the form.
    2. You will receive a confirmation from the Plan.
  • 4. How can I make changes to my account?

    Login to your account and click on Account Maintenance in the left hand menu to make any of these changes:

    • Change your address
    • Change your beneficiary
    • Change beneficiary's expected enrollment year
    • Add or change the sample schools you track
    • Add, change or delete bank account information
    • Change the Successor Owner of your account
    • Establish, change or delete automatic purchase plan

    Alternatively, you can download and print the account maintenance form. Complete and mail or fax the form to the address or fax number printed on it.

  • 5. Can I invite others to contribute to my child's Private College 529 Plan account?

    Invitations to family and friends can easily be sent by email.

    1. Login to your Private College 529 Plan account and click on "Invite Family/Friends to Contribute"
    2. Add the names and email addresses of those you want to invite to make a contribution to your beneficiary's account
    3. Write your own message or choose from our list of prepared messages, and send.

    Family and friends can contribute online, or they can print and mail the contribution form that is included in the email along with a check payable to Private College 529 Plan. The contributor can mail a personalized contribution card to the beneficiary, as well. Alternatively, you can download and print these invitations to mail to friends and family.

  • 6. How can I make a gift contribution to a child's Private College 529 Plan account?

    Complete the contribution coupon and send it, along with a check payable to Private College 529 Plan, to the address on the form. Contributions must be $25 or more per account.

    Then, you can download and print a gift certificate, gifting acknowledgment, and present it to the account beneficiary.
