Tuition Plan Consortium, LLC (TPC) is a not-for-profit organization. TPC was formed in 1998 to establish a prepaid tuition 529 option designed specifically by and for private colleges and universities. Today, more than 270 private colleges across the country participate in Private College 529 Plan (the Plan).
The Plan operates under the direction of the TPC Board which is comprised of Directors elected by member colleges and universities. All costs of administering the program and operating TPC are paid by the member institutions through an annual management fee. Since account owners do not pay fees, 100% of your contributions to the Plan go towards purchasing tuition.
In 2010, TPC entered into an agreement with OFI Private Investments Inc., a subsidiary of OppenheimerFunds, Inc., to provide administrative, service and marketing support to the program.
OFI Trust Company is the trustee for the program trust, within which the Private College 529 Plan is required to hold all program assets.
